Special Ed Teacher - Wellness Institute Of Neurodevelopment (Puerto Rico)

We are looking for a special education teacher with at least 3 years of experience; fully bilingual (written and spoken) who can design a plan and provide for appropriate learning experiences for patients with neurological disabilities in a clinical setting. The person in this position is responsible for creating a flexible program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction to stimulate acquisition of skills in all areas related to academic success.
Meet with patient and relatives to discuss the patient's progress and to determine priorities for the student and their individualized educational needs. • Confer with parents, health providers, administrators, testing specialists, social workers, and other professionals to develop individualized education programs designed to promote students' educational, physical, and social/emotional development. • Maintain accurate and complete progress records and prepare reports on patients and activities. • Establish clear objectives and communicate those objectives to caregivers • Develop plans for effective communication, monitoring, and follow-up of patients.
