**Position Description**
Responsible for inbound and outbound logistical
operations including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation to
ensure sufficient supply of goods and products. Controls the commercial impact
of the complete range of activities from receiving, locating and dispatching,
sourcing, purchasing and optimizing inventory levels. Administers an effective
system that meets the organization's inventory control needs through efficient
transportation of raw materials, component parts and/or finished goods.
**Position Responsibilities**
•Works with business personnel involved
in the import process (merchandise valuation, product classification, country
of origin marking/determination, procurement, shipping/receiving, discrepancy
reporting) to identify current processes for performing import processes and
design procedures to sustain compliancy.
•Responsible for preparing technical
information needed to respond to CBP inquiries; works with GBS Import to ensure
response is complete, accurately and timely.
•Develops supplier performance criteria
(expectation list) for managing supplier import compliance expectations; ensure
suppliers are meeting expectations; works with management to bring supplier
performance into conformity.
•Performs physical inspection of received
merchandise and reports discrepancies in product quantities and country of
origin marking to ensure quantity discrepancies are recorded and reported to
customs brokers.
•Creates, conducts maintains a
program for auditing internal import processes; logs discrepancies noted and
implements corrective actions.
•Works with management to develop EDI and
other software based solutions relating to Customs business in order to
automate the import process.
•Ensures documents required to support eligibility
to participate in trade agreements are available prior to participation and in
conformance with trade agreement requirements.
•Conducts brokers’ annual evaluations.
• Audits MPROC facilities to assure
Customs Program compliance.
•Maintains Customs documentations files.
•Assists GBS export/import compliance and
business units/geographies in employee training, and implementing goals and
objectives of the import and export Management
Program (EMP)
•ollects and files all communication
with customs/census for AES filing and coordinates with Medtronic import and
export compliance group with responses.
•Conserves the integrity of import/export
activity through documentation, reporting and maintaining current with Bureau
of Customs Border Protection, Census, EAR and FED regulations.
•Performs other position duties as
assigned.
**Quality Responsibilities**
•Reports
any observed or informed process and/or product non-conformities to the Supervisor
for action and resolution.
•Reports
any complaint regarding a Medtronic product to the Supervisor.
Complies with all the requirements in the operational
procedures at the area of responsibility in order to meet the requirements of
all applicable Quality System Regulations (e.g.: FDA Part 820 Quality System
Regulation, ISO 13485 Quality Standard, R-PAL (Japanese QSR’s).

**Minimum Education**
Bachelor Degree
**Basic Qualifications**
Background
•Educational:
Business Administration, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Engineering or
related field
•Experience:
oSenior
Level: 5+ Years with Bachelors or 3+ Years with Masters

to supply chain, planning, inventory control and manufacturing environment
