Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization*s financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 8 plus years relevant work experience.

*General Role*

This role is a Tier 1 Sales Advisory Role (T1 SA) in NorthAmerica for one or more lines of business including Software License, Cloud andHardware sales. A T1 SA will beresponsible as an advisor to Sales Management. T1SA will work closely with Sales to structure transactions and coachingSales through each step of the internal deal process through deal closure. The T1 SA will approve transactions on behalfof North America Senior Sales Management based on strategic direction. The T1SAshould be prepared to provide on-going training for Sales in the areas ofinternal Deal Management and Oracle Policy. The role will also include somecustomer facing activity assisting sales in explaining Oracle s agreements,policies and practices to customers. Teammembers can expect to work with high volume activity and on multipletransactions concurrently.

*GeneralDescription*

Requires knowledge of Oracle internal business procedures(contracting process, business practices) and a good understanding of generalbusiness strategy, finance and legal issues. High level, proactive thinking,ability to manage virtual teams, review and develop financial analysis, abilityto negotiate are required skills. Mustbe able to interface with customers. Abilityto manage change, experience with License sales and Cloud sales at Oracle andability to present to senior executives, both internal and externalpreferred. Need for highly developed communication skillsboth written and oral. 5 plus years of relevant business experience desired.Advanced degree (Legal, Accounting or MBA) highly desirable.

*Job Description*

* Providedeal strategy, structuring, review and Oracle business policy advice to salesin a broadly assigned territory in an effort to maximize current and futurerevenue and remain within an acceptable risk profile for Oracle;

* Be responsible for ensuring non-standard requests received fromSales are communicated clearly, accurately and adequate justification isprovided in the Deal Approval System;

* Approve non-standard terms on behalf of Senior North America SalesManagement;

* Manage escalation of complex non-standard terms to Tier 1ComplexNegotiations and/or Strategic Transactions, shared services groups and Officeof the CEO;

* Provide project management for transactions across Oracle sOpportunity to Order process flow;

* Ensure Sales follows required steps in deal process in a timelymanner;

* Understandoperational risk and maintain alliances with different groups who are requiredto review and comment on risk associated with non-standard deal terms in orderto advise Sales;

* Develop and deliver communications and training to Sales in policiesand best practices deal process management;

* Discuss and explain Oracle s agreements, policies and processes tocustomers at Sales request;

* Assist Oracle Deal Management and Sales in understand customers non-standardrequirements;

* Assist in discussions with customers or withpreparing Sales for customer negotiations;

* Identifying changes to improve process;

* Work on project teams who are improving processflow and deal velocity across Oracle.
