Director Cloud Security - Oracle (Puerto Rico)
Work with a world class team to develop, implement, and support cutting edge Oracle technology.
Manages teams supporting and/or implementing multi-functional and/or multi-location projects and/or systems. Defines, documents and manages scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables and acceptance testing criteria. Develops and manages an effective risk mitigation strategy for the project(s).
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Successful track record as a manager. Detailed knowledge of technical and business concepts of a number of related applications areas. BA/BS degree preferred.

We re looking for a technical leader withstrong management experience to lead and build a team responsible forinfluencing and guiding day-to-day engineering and development activities todeliver security focused solutions. Ifthis is you, at Oracle you will lead or participate in architecture decisions,product designs, design reviews, code reviews and implementation to ensure anindustry best security mindset and practice. These are exciting times in our space - we are growing fast, still at anearly stage and working on ambitious new initiatives.
The Director of Security Architecture is acritical member responsible for the security architecture, design, andlife-cycle management of our internal infrastructure, product and systemassessment function, and development team engagement and evangelism. You will lead a group of senior-levelsecurity architects and engineers who own one or multiple sets of products fromintake through deployment, patching and revisions, to ensure they are deliveredsecurely. Your team will be accountableto drive and integrate deep technical solutions to protect our cloudservices. This requires activeparticipation in project and technology design reviews, technology assessments,and detailed security engineering on an ongoing basis to ensure requirements ofthe security engineering program are met.
As the leader of these high performing teams,you will maintain a rigorous connection to and understanding of the evolutionof security threats and tools in the industry in order to provide recommendationsto secure the environment. As the leaderyou will evangelize the current security capabilities and consult bothinternally and externally to identify and drive the next-generation of securitysolutions. Further, you will drivesecurity risk assessments of products and ensure effective risk management ofkey findings with internal teams. Thisrole requires the communication skills to understand, influence, educate, driveand evangelize the appropriate message to technical and non-technical people.
Responsibilities
Actas a security evangelist and lead advisor to internal teams to enforce securitystandards and offer solutions to applicable security risks and threats.
Participatein cloud security and multiple compliance activities to prioritize and driverelated gap mitigation projects and initiatives while also supporting andmaintaining the mapping of threat and control relationships within the securityarchitecture plan.
Contributeto the continual development and support of information security policies,standards and supporting team members.
Completesecurity risk assessments and drive findings to resolution. Interpret and fill security capability gaps asneeded.
Providesupport to the security reporting functions in the generation of metrics andstatistics about the posture and environment in terms of security andregulatory risks.
Provideleadership in evaluating & developing technology and process solutions tobusiness problems, participate in recommending changes to controls and systems.
Identifyand vet new security solutions, drive design and integration requirements,deliver results.
Managemultiple simultaneous security deep technical reviews for product teams withsupporting staff members.
Representbig picture security requirements and deep technical capabilities across cloudfor internal and external consumption.
Supportpartner teams operations, infrastructure, development, incident response,etc.
Qualifications
3 years as a senior leader / manager over information security design andarchitecture teams.
10 years in leadership and management roles spanning Information Technology,Information Security, Product Development, or other deep technical functions.
Proventrack record of delivering results above expectations despite aggressivedeadlines.
Comfortableworking independently, translating strategy to practical priorities and actions.
Excellentexecutive presence & communication skills.
Stronganalytical capability, judgment, self-motivation, proactivity, and influence.
Interpersonalcapabilities with proven skill at building and maintaining stakeholderrelationships.
Experiencepresenting verbally and written to large audiences about technical concepts.
Other Qualifications
Experienceas a senior leader / manager over team of cloud security architects (prefercloud consumer security practitioner perspective).
Workingknowledge of large-scale security policies, standards, and governance teams.
Experiencesuccessfully navigating corporate security review processes.
Experiencewith risk assessment, risk management and risk mitigation.
Experiencedriving significant change in a positive manner across an organization.
BSor MS degree or MBA with equivalent experience relevant to functional areapreferred.
