Senior Industrial Engineer - Abbott (Puerto Rico)

This position will be based in Arecibo, Puerto Rico.
The incumbent will work on planning facility layout, capacity analysis and productivity improvement projects.
Will supervise and provide Industrial Engineering assistance to exempt and non-exempt personnel. Also will have the responsibility to lead and implement the Lean Initiatives in the sites located in Arecibo and in Caguas, PR.

**Some of the essential functions of this position are:**
+ Lead the Lean Initiatives, including developing and conducting trainings and providing direction for project execution to different teams.
+ Audit and update changes to the BOM (Bill of Materials).
+ Develop manufacturing solutions that support the operations strategic directives related to business excellence initiatives.
+ Offer technical support to other departments in flow, ergonomics and productivity projects.
+ Ensure Implementation of SJM PR LLC Environmental Management System consistently and measurably in the company.
+ Ensures compliance within work groups with internal and external regulatory requirements (FDA, TUV, etc.). Ensure that all personnel comply with the established procedures of their respective areas.
+ Effectively manage a team of Industrial Engineers.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree in Engineering Field.
+ Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing industry.
+ Supervisory experience.
+ Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish).
+ MS Office proficient.
+ Black Belt certification is preferred.
+ AutoCAD knowledge is preferred.
