MES Product Owner - IT Lead - J&J Family of Companies (Puerto Rico)

As a member of the Johnson & Johnson (IT) Technology - Consumer MAKE Organization, this position will be working closely with the Consumer Manufacturing Sites to translate business needs and requirements into clear and easily understood technology solutions. This position will also manage effective relationships with both key business partners and delivery teams to ensure the smooth Agile delivery of key product and solutions in support of the Digital Manufacturing product line capabilities. The candidate will also partner with key product suppliers, application delivery and support and IT infrastructure groups in Johnson & Johnson, and liaise with peers in the other sectors.
As the MES Product Owner – IT Lead, you will:
• Act as the primary IT interface with the business for specific product capabilities.
• Understand the business needs and priorities from the product and prioritize product functionalities.
• Negotiate with the business to see what items (user stories) are built and which are backlogged based on capacity.
• Ensure projects and work gets is completed on time, act as primary contact with product vendor and partner with Infrastructure and App development/support groups in Technology Services to oversee the overall reliability and performance (aligned with SLAs).
• Track progress of product development in the context of the larger program, as wells as report back to the business on status on the delivery of features, functionality and applications – includes business/stakeholders in product reviews and gain direct feedback.
• Oversee product technology portfolio (hardware and software), per technological level of maturity, to identify potential opportunities for technological investments (upgrades, migration, decommissioning).
• Partner with Business Owner to ensure compliance with SLAs.
• Gather and support metrics and dashboards for the Product, make periodic reports and presentations to various Leadership Teams on status of compliance activities in scope.
• Monitors product usage and liaison between PLO and business to assure alignment in product strategy with business needs.
Qualifications
• A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering discipline.
• A minimum of six (6) years Information Technology (IT) experience is required. Experience working in a regulated life-science industry (Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Consumer) with deep understanding of compliance and testing principles is required.
• Strong broad-based hands-on IT background and experience in Manufacturing Execution Field technology (WERUM PASX) is required.
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management with strong process focus and analytical skills is preferred.
• Agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology experience is required. IT Service Management (ITIL) experience is preferred, as well as previous experience delivering Enterprise projects.
• Strong track record of completing project deliverables with aggressive timelines and sprints, as well as the ability to drive solutions quickly and efficiently is required.
• Strong experience designing technical solutions for business problems, and ability to understand both business processes and technical solutions is required. Ability to work in a highly matrix environment around the globe and align complex architecture to business strategies and initiatives is preferred.
• Experience with data and analytics, and small/medium scale enterprise data solutions and reporting solutions (Spotfire, Tableau, Qlik) are preferred.
• Computer literate in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
• Proficient in English (oral and written) is required.
• This position can be located in any significant Consumer Supply Chain manufacturing site or office in North America, preferably in Puerto Rico, and requires up to twenty-five (25%) of domestic and international travel.
