Senior Maintenance Supervisor (Temporary Position - Second Shift) - Abbott (Puerto Rico)

This is a temporary position in a second shift.
**Job Summary**
The maintenance supervisor is responsible for manpower and resources within the maintenance area to ensure timely support to operations. Responds to issues related to equipment, personnel and work orders. Plans and implements project timelines and objective. Keys to success include regulatory compliance of employee/equipment, promotion of a safe and positive work environment, constant pursuit of business excellence initiatives, successful management and development of direct reports and achieving results though cross- functional relationship (i.e. Engineering, Quality Equipment, Materials). The maintenance supervisor will implement policies and procedures to maintain production equipment compliance and generate improvement through innovative ideas and execution while supporting daily production/operations demands.
**Major Responsibilities**
+ Implement a staffing plan by identifying resources requirement, writing justifications for additional personnel, obtaining approval for changes, and coordinating the selection process with human resources
+ Promote deparment goals by selecting, motivating and training capable staff. Leads activities of assigned staff by communicating and providing guidance as applicable.
+ Supervise and coordinate contracted services to adhere with GMP And plant's procedures and requirments.
+ Ensure all assigned personnel are in personal training compliance and unique training needs of the group are met.
+ Creates short to mid-range plans to carry out objetives established by management. Recommends or modifies the structure of crews subject to approval of management.
+ Supervise operations, maintenance, repairs and overhaul to the related plant equipment. Be responsible for overall equipment performance & maintain downtime to an acceptable level; support equipment upgrades/new installations.
+ Maintain and administrate preventive maintenance, corrective, predictive, calibration program for plan equipment. Assure adequate spare parts, tools, and other items needed to perform the maintenance work duties.
+ Maintain and administrate the Amigo system.
+ Assist/support other functions as needed; proactively seek ways to increase productivity (i.e. implementing equipment improvements to increase productivity).
+ Works as a liaison between Operations engineering Equipment Material Quality Control and Quality Assurance to manage and resolve productions issues. Provide support for compliance investigations; resolve corrective actions. Investigate and/or participate in the evaluation and preparation of formal investigations of excursions in areas of responsibilities. Establish sound and effective corrective actions to fix root cause of events.
+ Assist in the preparation of the maintenance budged accordingly to the plant needs and projections.
+ Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for EHS performance and compliance through active participation and support of Abbott's EHS Program.
+ Interprets and executes policies that effect individuals within the assigned organizational unit or department.
+ Monitors compliance with company policies and procedures (e.g. compliance with FDA, BSI, EEO regulations etch).
+ Help in the development of work schedules for department by assessing priorities, workload and available resources.
+ May perform individual contributor task, especially in staff or professional units.
**Education and Experience Requirements**
+ Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Electronic) or Science or Business Administrations.
+ Three or more years of experience is required in a maintenance/engineering/operations/technical environment
+ Two or more years of experience as Supervisor.
