**About the Position:**
This position is located at Ramey Elementary/High School in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
Federal employees in Puerto Rico are currently entitled to receive a 3.48% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

* Serve as a member of district office and as a member of the school leadership teams to align district and school goals and to evaluate student data to support effective school improvement.
* Model to promote student engagement, motivation and investment in learning by encouraging teacher?s incorporation of real world, authentic and innovative experiences.
* Assist the leadership teams to collect, analyze and interpret school-wide data to enhance improvement efforts.
* Differentiate coaching methods in response to teacher and student readiness and interests to continuously grow teacher practice.
* Provide information on professional learning resources and core content related resources as well as online learning opportunities to help school staff reach desired goals and meet systemic initiatives.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
**Minimum Education Requirement:** A Master's degree in the field of Education. The course work must have been completed at or accepted by a regionally accredited U.S. college or university.
The undergraduate/graduate course work must have included study in at least **three of the following five areas:**
1.Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology: Study of learning theories as they relate to the systematic design, development, and validation of instructional material.
2.Instructional design practices: Study of the principles and techniques used in designing training programs, developing design strategy and models, and applying design methods to the improvement of instructional effectiveness.
3.Educational evaluation: Study of the techniques for evaluating the effectiveness of instructional/educational programs, including developing written and performance tests and survey instruments, and determining reliability and validity of evaluation instruments.
4.Instructional product development: Study of the techniques appropriate for developing training materials, including identifying learner characteristics, specifying objectives, applying training strategy, validating training materials, and evaluating training.
5. Computers in education and training: Study of the application of computers in education and training.
**Specialized Experience Requirement (5 years):**Specialized experience is experience gained in teaching, educational research, development of educational materials and aids, educational testing, educational administration, or comparable activities in an elementary and/or secondary school, which has clearly demonstrated success in the application of principles, methods, and techniques of education and familiarity with current developments in PreK-12th grade education and training.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Foreign Degrees and Course Work from Non-accredited Institutions. Credits or degrees earned from a foreign college or university must be evaluated prior to acceptance. Three evaluation procedures are acceptable:
1. The coursework may be evaluated and interpreted by the International Education Research Foundation, Inc., Credential Evaluation Service, Post Office Box 3665, Culver City, CA 90231-3665 or www.ierf.org/ or 310-258-9451. 2. The foreign institution that awarded the degree is on a list endorsed by a regionally accredited university or on a list endorsed by a state department of education for the purpose of teacher certification in that state (this procedure will require an English translation of the transcript and a copy of the document awarding the degree, together with an authenticated list produced by an American university or a state department of education); and 3. The work may be evaluated by the graduate division of a regionally accredited university and declared the equivalent of similar undergraduate or graduate work in a U.S. institution.
Graduates of non-accredited institutions may have their undergraduate work validated by admittance to graduate school and completion of a minimum of 5 SH of credit in a regionally accredited graduate college.
