Planning and Scheduling of maintenance work orders in coordination with equipment or building custodians, maintenance supervision, spare parts MRO warehouse and any other involved functions in the maintenance process. Investigation and interpretation of work orders:

Responsibilities:

+ Receive all work orders within area of responsibility or expertise and assure information is accurate and complete.

+ Coordinate with requestor the availability of area or equipment and clarify the final objective and priority of the request.

+ Interpret EHS and GMP regulatory requirements pertaining to job, incorporating modifications to work plans as needed ensuring full compliance.

+ In coordination with his/her supervisor, identify Work Requests that require support from the maintenance technical services group for further evaluation and development and/or capital investment for the originator to issue an engineering project request.

Scheduling and execution of work orders:

+ Negotiates priorities and schedules work taking into consideration timing and operational needs in the assigned maintenance unit minimizing production losses and overtime requirements.

+ Procures materials such as parts and specialized tools, including purchase requisitions as needed, and assesses crafts and labor hours needed for the job. Estimate and minimize related costs.

+ Prepares weekly schedules for the maintenance groups and areas of responsibility.

+ Daily follow up of work in progress and to the closing of completed work orders.

+ Review completed work orders and work schedules. Obtain related feedback for future maintenance plan considerations.

+ Promote the integration and cooperation with all other maintenance and manufacturing units by facilitating teamwork, participating in decision making, and by acting as a role model.

+ Develop, coordinate, participate in and support CI initiatives as required to ensure company and/or maintenance strategic and business goals are given the best opportunity to succeed.

+ Develop, maintain and report KPIs pertaining to the goals and objectives of the workgroup

+ Establish the appropriate communication channels and work processes to ensure the integration with the Maintenance organization, in order to provide the required services to the customers.

+ Support and monitor the progress within the Maintenance Planning organization of EHS/GMP programs and procedures. Address all related tasks diligently.

+ Complete and sustain the centralization of MRO operations assuring high service levels and inventory accuracy.

+ Coordination and liaison within the area of maintenance services and logistics:

Ensure schedule and maintenance plan compliance with maintenance personnel and requestors through effective communication and coordination. Maintain close contact with fellow planners to execute scheduling of multi-craft jobs. Provides communication to requestors when it is not possible to meet deadlines and re-negotiates priorities as needed. Develops scope of work with custodians and procures the services of outside contractors, through the maintenance technical services group for large jobs and through maintenance supervision when there is the need to increase availability of resources (shutdowns).

+ Develop maintenance plans including feedback from involved personnel for continuous enhancements.

+ Participate in the Maintenance Planning Unit Safety meetings and address recommendations to improve safety.

+ Support all Predictive Maintenance and Reliability Center Maintenance initiatives by participating in and providing resources to improve the reliability of our equipment and operations.

+ Develop and coordinate the planning, scheduling and performance of shutdown activities.

+ Report relevant information to Reliability Engineer or Maintenance Technical Services for further improvements on repetitive or deteriorated areas requiring long term solutions.

+ Ongoing program to reduce maintenance costs:

+ Establishes methods and procedures to measure and monitors maintenance efficiency (KPI’s).

+ Track jobs requiring the use of heavy equipment (crane, boom truck, etc) in coordination with fellow planners to ensure effective utilization of available resources and/or the needs to outsource such equipment.

Knowledge/Skill:

+ Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Science or Engineering.

+ Five (5) years’ experience in the Maintenance/Engineering in a Pharmaceutical Industry and three (3) years’ experience in the facilities/maintenance environment.

+ Intimate knowledge of planning and scheduling principles and processes as related to maintenance practices Leadership, supervisory and team oriented skills.

+ Excellent oral and written Communication skills (English and Spanish).

+ Advanced computer and excellent technical skills

+ Expertise in facilities, mechanical and electrical works

+ Ability to proactively adapt to and promote new technologies and processes in a changing maintenance culture.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with customers in regards to developing and meeting expectations.

+ Ability to develop strategies and implement following a structured plan.

+ Ability to identify problems and develop solutions.

+ Ability to integrate processes and develop efficient and effective link between them.

+ Ability to meet project targets within specific timeframe

+ Occasional contact with Government Agencies and professional organizations to obtain services and/or to benchmark.
